About this work
The work with garlic and the red bus is the first Helmantel I bought for my sick mother. I never thought it would also be the beginning of Helmantel paintings. The number 67 is painted on the famous red bus. Henk Helmantel was celebrating his 67th birthday while painting the work and depicted his date of birth in the piece.
