About this work

Debora Makkus has been counted among the ‘Masters of Realism’ for many years: a selection of distinguished realist artists. Her works have featured in more than 45 museum exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad. Her work has a strong identity of its own. In her series Romeins glas, Debora paints a spherical amphoriskos of green glass from the 2nd/3rd century AD, with two handles connecting the shoulders to the neck.
