About this work
Debora Makkus has belonged for years to the 'Masters of Realism'; a selection of high-quality realistic artists. Her works have been included in over 45 museum exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Her work possesses a strong individuality. In her series 'Roman Glass', Debora paints an exceptionally beautiful glass aryballos with a cobalt blue rim and two handles. The iridescence on the bottle appears pearlescent. It is no coincidence that it was once sold by Charles Ede Gallery in London, the most highly regarded gallery in the field of Roman glass.
